Awesome except for two things!
This was my second time attending a Kraken game. Everything about the new arena is amazing. The staff was great and the event was excellently presented. I have only two constructive criticisms.
1) If there is ice and snow on the ground surrounding the arena and walkways to the armory and parking lots - SALT THE GROUND. I came to the game with a friend who was on crutches, and it was a serious challenge overcoming the terrain. If there would have been salt on the ground to treat the ice, it would have been a LOT better.
2) Have more maps showing the arena's levels, food choices, and "you are here" designations. I came home from my 2nd time at a Kraken game and found out there was an entire level of the arena I didn't even know existed. I relied on what I saw at the venue, and where I was directed. I have always been a fan of maps. If there was a big one at each entrance and then smaller versions all around the horseshoe, people would understand their choices more and probably spend more money!

2nd Seattle Trip, 1st Kraken Season
Originally, the premise of this 2nd ever visit to Seattle, WA was to be my 5th overall San Jose Sharks regular season road trip. As the trip progressed, I felt that it was more about being a part of history. In 1999, I was fortunate to be part of the Seattle Mariners Inaugural Season at the brand new Safeco Field; now in 2022, being a part of the Seattle Kraken's Inaugural NHL Season was a "coming full circle" moment.
Despite being a fan of the Kraken's opponents, I felt so honored to be a part of Seattle Kraken history when I received the "2021-22 Inaugural Member" patch, which was the Fan Appreciation Night giveaway. That patch was way WAY better than the shirsey (don't ask!) that the San Jose Sharks gave away on their Fan Appreciation Night. That patch was just the beginning, as I got more than I bargained for with the reusable bag at our seats and then the prize t-shirt courtesy of Muckleshoot Casino upon exit.
I liked the bottomless soda cup. The pregame video was cool; that's the genius of Jerry Bruckheimer and former WWE senior director Jonny Greco. Best of all, thank you to the Seattle Kraken fans for nurturing a welcoming environment and allowing me to enjoy some of your team's history.
